Here is the complete list of all the states currently being administered by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In the past, the PDP was the ruling party with the majority of governors in Nigeria. But in recent times the APC has wide popularity across Nigeria and has overthrown the PDP.

Before the last general elections the PDP was in control of more states, however, internal rancor and a number of issues led to a division within the party which resulted in an embarrassing defeat at the 2015 polls.

By the time the 2015 general elections were over, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP had been reduced to an opposition party in many of the states and even the federal level. The PDP lost up to 10 states to the APC and the party is now in control of only 12 states out of 36 states in the federation. Below is the list of the states currently under the PDP;

Abia State: Name of the elected Governor is Dr Victor Ikpeazu. His term validity period is between 2015 and 2019. Political party, PDP.

Akwa Ibom: Name of the elected Governor is Emmanuel Udom. His term validity period is between 2015 and 2019. Political party, PDP.

Bayelsa State: Name of the governor is Hon. Henry Serieake Dickson. His term validity period is between 2016 and 2020. Political party, PDP.

Cross River State: Name of the elected Governor is Ben Ayade. His term validity period is between 2015 and 2019. Political party, PDP.

Delta State: Name of the elected Governor is Ifeanyi Okowa. Name of his political party is the PDP. His term validity period is between 2015 and 2019.

Ebonyi State: Name of the elected Governor is Dave Umahi. His political party is PDP. His term validity period is between 2015 and 2019.

Ekiti State: Name of the governor is Mr. Ayodele Fayose. His term validity period is between 2014 and 2018. Political party, PDP.

Enugu State: Name of the elected Governor is Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. His term validity period is between 2015 and 2019. Political party, PDP.

Gombe State: Name of the elected Governor is Ibrahim Dankwambo. His term validity period is between 2015 and 2019. Political party, PDP.

Ondo State: Name of the Governor is Olusegun Mimiko. His validity period is between 2013 and 2017. He was formerly in the Labour Party, LP and later decamped to the PDP.

Rivers State: Name of the elected Governor is Nyesom Wike. His term validity period is between 2015 and 2019. political party, PDP.

Taraba State: Name of the elected Governor is Darius Ishaku. His term validity period is between 2015 and 2019. Political party, PDP.
